Nancy Catherine Shea

Nancy Catherine Shea, 68, of South Dennis, MA passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Plainfield, NJ, the daughter of the late Joseph Francis and Beverly (Price) Shea.

Nancy was a litigation attorney and received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University and law degree from Stanford University. She started her career with Shea & Gardner in Washington, DC before opening her own firm Featherstone & Shea in Denver, CO.

Nancy retired and moved back to Massachusetts in the early ‘90s to be closer to her family. She lived in Kingston for a number of years, where she served as Town Assessor and Shellfish Warden, before moving to the Cape a few years ago and settling in South Dennis.

One of Nancy’s greatest passions was traveling. She especially enjoyed taking her sisters on wonderful trips to explore the world. She was also a proud member and volunteer with Big Sisters.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is predeceased by her sister Amy Shea. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Mary Helt of Glastonbury, CT; Patricia O’Connor of Dennis, MA; Elizabeth Shea of South Yarmouth, MA and her nieces and nephews, Molly Helt, Kelly Helt; Cassandra Vanthyune, Daniel Kelly, Erin O’Connor; Brion Williams.

It was Nancy’s wishes her funeral arrangements remain private.
