Born in Cambridge, the daughter of the late James and Mildred (Tibbetts) Duncan, Naomi graduated from Rosary Academy High School in 1959. She worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in Boston and was a volunteer at the Espousal Retreat House in Waltham for 15 years. Naomi and Paul married in the Espousal chapel on March 10, 1974 and moved to South Dennis. She enjoyed skiing Cannon Mountain in NH for several years, loved to travel, visiting Mohegan Sun especially during the Christmas season. While living on the Cape, Naomi was employed at the Whitehall and Pavilion Nursing Homes for 33 years as a Certified Nurses Assistant until her retirement.
In addition to her beloved husband, Naomi was pre-deceased by her baby sister Frances, her brother Edward, aunt and uncle Anna and Frank Brennick, and cousins Frank and Betty Brennick and their son Robert. She is survived by her cousins Tommy Brennick, Billy Brennick, and David Brennick all of Belmont and the Ward family.
Naomi wanted to recognize Priscilla Ward for delicious homemade meals during a storm, the Carrey family for invitations to Christmas eve and so many family get togethers, meals, and shoveling snow, the Lang’s for the beautiful crochet cross that she kept in her prayer book, Nancy Laverdiere for all the meal trips, the care she provided, driving her to the doctor’s, hospital’s, nursing home, and the home visits, and her many friends in the Women of the Moose – Chapter 1721.
Visiting hours will be held at the Doane, Beal, & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134, South Dennis, on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 from 9:00-10:30 am, followed by Naomi’s Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Church, Rt. 28, West Harwich at 11:00 am. She will be reunited with Paul in the MA National Cemetery at 1:45 pm.
Naomi’s greatest wish was to be reunited with her beloved Paul. May she rest in eternal peace.
