January 4 2014. She was born in Padova (Padua) in Northern Italy on
April 28, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Cav. Vittorio
Bernardi and the late Ermida Lenzi-Bernardi.
She moved to the US in 1954, married Francis J. McGrath Jr. in 1964,
had one son, and lived in Connecticut and then later on Cape Cod. She
was a loving mother, caring wife and wonderful person. She was a
homemaker and interested in Italian cooking and in the culture of her
native Italy.
She is survived by her son Francis J. McGrath, III, and by her sister
Analda Fryxell and her sister’s children.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at St.
Pius X Church, 5 Barbara Street (off Station Avenue), South Yarmouth,
MA 02664.
Burial will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
