Elbrus boarders on Russia, then the Soviet Union. The group was invited guests of the Soviet Union and traveled to a grand reception in Moscow, a highlight of Paul's life. He was a charter member of the Cape Cod Athletic Club. Paul participated in many local races including marathons all over New England and Washington D.C.. It was at a road race that he met his wife, the former Shelley Whitehead. Besides running races, he and Shelley biked all over the Cape and Martha's Vineyard and enjoyed playing contract bridge both duplicate and social. Paul was a dad to Shelley's four children. Timberly of CA, Barry and Allan of MA, and Shelley Andrea (affectionately nicknamed "JR" by Paul) of TX. Two years into their marriage Paul and Shelley were blessed with the birth of their twin grandaughters (Jacqueline and Brianna). The twins and their mother, JR, have spent every summer since their birth with Paul and Shelley in the house that Papa built in Harwich. They created many happy memories. Paul was loved by many and will be missed.

Sorry for your loss. My husband Robert (who passed away on April 1, 2018), was Paul's cousin. Paul's father, Charles, was my husband's Uncle,. (my husband's father, Lawrence, was Charles' brother.) Robert and I spent a many times visiting with Uncle Charles and Emma, in Dennis. I did not know Paul
that well, I think I only met him a couple of times. May Paul rest in peace.

To the Masterson Family,

I am Ronald JP Lesko's (Georgetown '59) daughter. I know my Dad and Mom knew Paul and Shelly, and had spent time together over the years either at reunions in Maine or in DC. We lost my Dad in February of this year and my Mom last September. Please accepted our deepest condolences and sympathy. I know if my Dad were here he would have written, so I am doing so in his spirit. May Paul rest in peace and may your memories of life together bring you all comfort and joy. God Bless
