George R. “Randy” Thomas, 65, of South Dennis, MA passed away peacefully on October 3, 2020 at Wingate of Harwich with his daughters by his side.

Born in Greenwood, South Carolina to Leroy and Patricia Thomas on August 7, 1955. Randy graduated in 1973 from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School and went on to attend ITT Tech in East Weymouth for a degree in auto mechanics. He was the owner and sole proprietor of Randy’s Automotive for over 45 years.

He loved hunting, fishing, crabbing, and gardening He also enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved NASCAR and enjoyed sledding in the wintertime with his children as well as camping.

He is predeceased by his father, Leroy Thomas; his two brothers, Michael Thomas & John Thomas and his stepson Shawn Tenney. He is survived by his two daughters, Angie Robert and husband John Robert & Heather Thomas and partner David Arthurs. He is also survived by his mother, Patricia Thomas; his wife, Joan Thomas and his brother, Jeff Thomas. In addition, Randy is remembered by his eight grandchildren: Michaela, Brendon, Lexi, Brianna, Marissa, Kyle, Carly, and Jacob and step grandson Ethan as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday October 24, 2020 from 10 am -12 pm at Doane, Beal and Ames Funeral Home, 729 Route 134, South Dennis, MA. Burial will be private.

Rest In Peace my sweet nephew. Out prayers go up for your family and friends as we all mourn our loss. Distance prevented close contact as you grew up , but I remember playing together as children (I’m only 4 years older) and I will always love you.
