A longtime resident of Cape Cod, Dick spent over 40 years serving the Cape Cod community as a chiropractor through his practice, Singleton Chiropractic. He touched countless lives through his work, always taking time to truly listen and care for his patients. One of his greatest joys was being stopped in town by patients (past or present) who simply wanted to say hello or share how he had helped them.
Dick loved spending time outdoors: making memories skiing with his family at Bretton Woods, soaking up the sun at Mayflower Beach, and relaxing on Fort Myers Beach. He was known for his warmth, quick wit, and deep devotion to his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Jody (Ohlson) Singleton; his children, Timothy, and his wife, Kristen, Jennifer and Amanda Singleton, Abbie (Singleton) Johnson and her husband Ben, and Amy Ohlson, who was like a daughter to him.
He is also survived by his wonderful grandson, Troy; his brother, Ron Singleton and his wife Joi, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Pauline and Max Singleton; his brother Bill Singleton and his wife, Marjorie, all of Wenatchee, Washington.
A memorial service will be held at Doane, Beal, & Ames Funeral Home in South Dennis on July 19, 2025, from 10:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. where friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects. A Celebration of Life will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dick’s honor to Hope Hospice of Fort Myers, FL, whose compassion and care meant so much during his final days.
