Suzanne Elizabeth Wyman

She is survived by her parents Charles B. and Elizabeth F. Wyman of Brewster; three brothers, Charles of Dennis, William of Maryland and Scott of Pennsylvania; as well several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Born on March 3, 1954, in Cambridge, Mass., she spent her childhood years there where she was an active in the Girl Scouts. In high school she was a member of various sports teams including softball and swimming. After high school she pursued a career in nursing. She attended Boston City Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1983.

Suzanne enjoyed her career as a nurse and caregiver. She loved to take care of her patients, whether it was in a hospital setting or in a home environment. Before her illness she worked with the Council on Aging (COA) assisted older folks in their homes with nursing care, as well as with other Cape Cod Health Care Organizations.

Outside of her nursing career, Suzanne had many interests. She was an avid fisherman and spent much of her time off fishing and camping at Nickerson State Park. She was a huge sports fan. She hardly missed a Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics game. This past April she got a chance to attend her first baseball game at Fenway Park with her father. She was their #1 fan.

Suzanne also loved animals, and had various pets from time to time. Especially dogs, cats and fish. She loved her lab Murphy, and Butterscotch her cat. She cherished the time spent with friends and family. Suzanne was a loving soul and will be forever missed by all who knew her.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, January 20, 2011, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Doane Beal & Ames 729 Route 134, South Dennis, MA 02660. A graveside service will be held Friday, January 21, at 10 a.m. at the Brewster Memorial Cemetery, Route 124, Brewster, Mass. Immediately followed by a celebration of Suzanne's life at Cape Cod Church of Christ, 493 Race Lane, Marstons Mills, MA 02648.
