

Cudmore, Thomas B. 74, of Yarmouth Port and formerly of Weymouth passed away on December 31, 2017. Born in Brockton on April 13, 1943 to the late Alfred and Evelyn Dahlen Peterson Cudmore. He was predeceased by his brothers Donald and Laurence.
Tom was a 1961 graduate of Brockton High School, attended Wentworth Institute, Umass Boston and was a graduate of Northeastern University. He served his country as a Sergeant in the Army stationed in Germany.
Tom was a retired detective of the Brookline Police Department with 27 years of service.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Dianne, two loving daughters, Erika Jordan and her husband Stephen of Hanover, Amanda Maloney and her husband James of Marshfield, Papa to 4 beloved grandchildren, Mitchell and Caitlyn Jordan and Michael and Sarah Maloney. He is also survived by his son Peter of Brockton, granddaughter Ashley and two great-grandchildren.
Tom leaves behind his dear cousin Judy Nelson and her husband Richard, 2 sisters-in-law Linda Dobbins and Ann Cudmore, many nieces and nephews and an abundance of dear friends.
He was a man of great integrity, compassion and generosity always willing to stand up for the underdog and would lend a hand to anyone in need. An avid Patriots fan, current events enthusiast, and jack-of-all-trades. He was our go to guy. Always smiling and joking, loving his family and gathering with friends. He will be sorely missed by all who loved him.
A visitation will be held at Doane, Beal & Ames 729 Rt 134, S. Dennis on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. during the visitation at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
