

DENNIS - William James Eskholme of East Dennis, formerly of Braintree, MA and Palm Beach Gardens, FL passed away on March 30, 2012 after a long illness, with his loving and devoted wife, Geralyn (Williams) Eskholme by his side.
He was born Dec. 22, 1935, the son of the late Norman and Eileen (Montgomery) Eskholme and was raised in Somerville.
As a very young man he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps with rank as Sgt. during the Korean War. After his discharge, he returned home and followed in his Father’s footsteps operating tractor-trailers/dispatching for M & M Trucking. With Bill’s passion and extensive knowledge of automobiles, he went on to be an automobile dealer, working desk to desk with his wife for over 35 years until his retirement.
For many years he fished the waters of Mass. Bay, Nantucket Sound and Cape Canaveral. He was a member of the Marine Corps League, the Marine Corps Aviation Association, the USMC Motor Transport Association and had been a past member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Post 10274 in Dennis, MA. Bill was an avid golfer for 39 years and a long-time member of the Dennis Pines and Dennis Highlands golf courses, and member of the Dennis Seniors. A special “thank you” goes to those members who gave him so much support during his illness.
In addition to his wife, Bill leaves sons Michael, Keith and William of Middleboro, daughter Amy Angulo of FL and grandchildren Mackenzie, Christopher, Juliet, Clint and Conner. He is also survived by sisters Pamela Kirby of Plymouth, Sandra (Johnson) Mainey and husband Jimmy of Medford, Maureen (Coyle) DiGregorio. Brothers Robert Coyle and wife Lorraine of Naples, ME, Thomas Coyle and wife Lorraine of Marstons Mills. Sister-in-law Beverly and brother-in-law John D. Moore of Brewster and many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by brothers Norman Eskholme, William Johnson and sisters Norma Kelly, Beverly Naughton and sister-in-law Diane Williams. He also leaves his “special pals” Casey, LuLu and Spike who gave him so much love and comfort.
Bill was a man of his word and lived by “The Code”. He made an impact on many lives and he will be remembered and sorely missed.
Visiting hours will be from 4 to 7pm, Mon. April 9 at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134, S. Dennis, MA 02660.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Tues., April 10 at Our Lady of The Cape Catholic Church on Stoney Brook Rd., Brewster followed by burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
