Wilma Arlene Flammia

S. Dennis-Wilma Arlene (Smith) Flammia passed away May 2, 2016, after a brief illness at the age of 87. Wilma was born in Mansfield, MA, the daughter of the late Murray W. Smith and Gilda (Guiliani) Smith. She was married to the late Albert Flammia and together they raised their family in Mansfield, later moving to Dennis. She was the sister of Catherine Mayes of Marshfield, MA and the late Murray Smith of NH.

Wilma was the loving mother of John Flammia of Pawtucket, RI; Karen Do’on Weik(Jay) of Swanton, Ohio, and Lisa Flammia(Rick)and of S. Dennis. She was the proud grandmother of Gina Consalvo, Carrie Ciccarelli, Matthew Fleming and Isabella Weik. Wilma is also survived by 4 great grandchildren. She leaves an uncle and aunt Edward Guiliani and Ann Guiliani of Dennis. Wilma was known for her love of cooking (particularly anything Italian) and took delight in feeding those around her. She was dedicated to her family and also worked as a kindergarten teacher, clerk and bookkeeper.

Friends and relatives are cordially invited to attend visiting hours Friday, May 6th 4 to 8 pm at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Route 134, S. Dennis, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 7th at 10 am at St. Mary’s Church 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield, MA.
