Aurora Leonor Derbyshire, a beloved member of her community, passed away on January 20, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on February 22, 1950, in Nicaragua, Aurora brought warmth and kindness to all who knew her. She resided in South Gate, California, where she was cherished by her family and friends.
Aurora is survived by her devoted husband, Jorge Ramos, and her loving daughters, Hazel Regina Marin, Carmen Monzerratt Marchany, and Gisselle Ramos. She was a proud grandmother to Ilan Alexander Cruz and Zachary Albert Marin. Aurora's family also includes her sons-in-law, Chris Perez, Albert Marin and Jose Feliciano Cruz.
A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel South Gate, located at 8665 California Ave, South Gate, CA 90280, on February 11, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Funeral Service to take place at 7:00 pm. Officiated by Francisco Javier Dueñas.
The Holy Mass will take place at St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church, 3095 E. Florence Ave, Huntington Park, CA 90255, on February 12, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Following the Mass, a committal service will be conducted at Calvary Cemetery and Mortuary, 4201 Whittier Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90023, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
Aurora will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, located at 4201 Whittier Blvd., Los Angeles.
She will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family and community.
