Great-Grandpa we will miss you! We love you and you will always be in our hearts.

Grandpa, I admire the great man that you were. A man who worked hard since a very young age to provide for your family and friends. You were always willing to lend a helping hand to those who needed it. Your life story was always intriguing and I enjoyed every moment we shared. I loved the stories of your childhood when your were only 8yrs old learning how to harvest crop and by the age of 10 you could  "levantar tu propia Huerta".  The stories of how life was in Mexico during your childhood and how you came to the United States at the age of 16. The jobs you had along the way to get here from harvesting crops to picking cotton which you said you hated and only did for a short time because you kept pricking your fingers. The stories about how you walked from TJ to Los Angeles (twice) along the road that we now call the 5 Fwy, walking through the orange groves (which is now Disney land), and the people you met along the way. I can only imagine the adventures you had. I loved the story of how you met grandma in Lincoln Heights and would double date with Tommy and Nena. Shortly after you married and started your own family (five girls and two sons).  You were a divoted husband and loving father. I loved how grandma would spend a day to herself while you took your children to the park or go viswit relatives, you would even pick up your nephews and niece and take them along.  You always had a great heart and while you raised your own family you were still a devoted son. You helped and provided for your mother and siblings in Mexico. You always wanted the best for your family and worked in various jobs from working in factories to being a truck driver delivering paper to various school districts. You could still remember the routes you would take and tell me the stories of how each city looked several years back when many freeways didn't even  exist yet. I remember being in elementary and you picking us up in your pickup truck (which is now the famous red truck). I will miss the peacans that would fall on your yard from Mr. Perez peacan tree even though as a child I was scared of the black crows that lingered around that tree. We would sit on your porch and crack the shells off and eat them or would put them in a old folgers coffee tin can.  You always loved to have a garden and would grow from chiles to the best lemon tree. The famous garage with all your tools and nick nacks and how you would spend hours there listening to the radio and always working on something. From fixing things that were broken to making anything that you thought of, like a bench to a chair and even a table. You always kept busy. I will miss going to your house and taking you your candies (Tomys) and you giving us and everyone that would visit you a tootsie pop. Taking selfies and you reviewing them and telling me to take them over because your glasses were crooked of something. Your great sense of humor. Thank you grandpa for all the wonderful memories and sharing your life stories. I can literally write a book now. You will always be in our hearts. We love you.

Grandpa thank you soooo much for everything you have done for me and my family. There no one like you. You are the best you got your ticket and you are now resting in peace.
