Manuel Castaneda

Manuel Castañeda, lovingly known as Manny by his friends, was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was truly one of the sweetest and most wonderful people you could ever know, with a kind and gentle heart that touched everyone who was fortunate enough to have him in their lives.

He loved playing Yu-Gi-Oh! with his friends, was a big fan of One Piece, and, of course, loved his Los Angeles Dodgers. His passion for baseball, especially Dodger baseball, was unmatched. He watched every single game of the season with his family, knew the players, the stats, and the history, and always knew what was happening with his team. When the Dodgers held their first-ever collaboration game with One Piece, two of the things Manuel loved most came together, and there was no way he was going to miss it. He was there for that very first Dodgers and One Piece game, a special memory that now means even more to all of us.

But above all, Manuel will be remembered for the wonderful person he was and for the love and support he gave his family and friends throughout his life. His sweetness, his presence, and all the little things that made Manuel who he was can never be replaced.

His parents were, and always will be, incredibly proud of the person Manuel was. He brought so much love and joy into their lives, and they will forever be proud to call him their son. Being his parents was a blessing they will carry in their hearts for the rest of their lives.

He will be loved and missed every second of every day by everyone who knew and loved him. Although our hearts will forever feel his absence, the memories, laughter, and love Manuel gave us will remain with us always.

En Memoria de Nuestro Querido Manuel Castañeda

Manuel Castañeda, conocido cariñosamente como Manny por sus amigos, fue un amado hijo,

hermano, tío y amigo. Fue verdaderamente una de las personas más dulces y maravillosas que

se podían conocer, con un corazón noble y bondadoso que dejó una huella en todos aquellos

que tuvieron la dicha de tenerlo en sus vidas.

Le encantaba jugar Yu-Gi-Oh! con sus amigos, era un gran fan de One Piece y, por supuesto,

amaba a sus Dodgers de Los Ángeles. Su pasión por el béisbol, especialmente por el béisbol de

los Dodgers, era incomparable. Veía cada uno de los partidos de la temporada con su familia,

conocía a los jugadores, las estadísticas y la historia, y siempre sabía lo que estaba pasando con

su equipo. Cuando los Dodgers celebraron su primer juego en colaboración con One Piece, dos

de las cosas que Manuel más amaba se unieron, y no había manera de que se lo fuera a perder.

Manuel estuvo presente en ese primer juego de los Dodgers y One Piece, un recuerdo muy

especial que ahora significa aún más para todos nosotros.

Pero, sobre todo, Manuel será recordado por la maravillosa persona que fue y por todo el amor

y apoyo que brindó a su familia y amigos a lo largo de su vida. Su dulzura, su presencia y todas

esas pequeñas cosas que hacían de Manuel quien era jamás podrán ser reemplazadas.

Sus padres estuvieron, y siempre estarán, inmensamente orgullosos de la persona que fue

Manuel. Él llenó sus vidas de tanto amor y alegría, y por siempre estarán orgullosos de llamarlo

su hijo. Haber sido sus padres fue una bendición que llevarán en sus corazones por el resto de

sus vidas.

Será amado y extrañado cada segundo de cada día por todos los que lo conocieron y lo amaron.

Aunque nuestros corazones siempre sentirán su ausencia, los recuerdos, las risas y todo el amor

que Manuel nos dejó permanecerán con nosotros para siempre.

Visitation/Velorio will be held at Funeraria Del Angel South Gate, 8665 California Ave, South Gate, CA 90280, US, on August 18, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 am (next day).

Burial/Sepelio will take place at Inglewood Park Cemetery, 720 E Florence Ave, Inglewood, CA 90301, US, on August 19, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
