Maria was vibrant, full of life, always with a smile on her face that would illuminate the sun. Family always came first. She was a devoted Catholic and always began her day with a prayer to God and for her children. She loved to look her best, even if it meant taking up to two hours to get ready but she always came out looking like a model. She was a social butterfly, she always made new friends wherever she went. She had a heart of gold. She loved to travel, shop, talk on the phone forever, listen to music, dance, read the spanish story comic books, watch telenovelas, garden, take photos and go for long walks. She was an animal lover and boy did she have a lot of pets over the years. She liked sewing and she could hand sew like no other. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always made sure to give her children la bendicion and always ended it with "Dios te cuide, te quiere mucho tu mama".
Maria is survived by her husband, Jose Luis Mendoza. Five children; Fernando Jimenez, Guillermo Soto, Jose Luis Mendoza Jr., Sandra L. Castillo and David C. Mendoza. Three siblings; Isidra Mares, Pablo Mares and Fausto Mares.
Mrs. Mendoza leaves behind 16 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren to cherish her memory.
