Rosa Lopez, a resident of the Southeast Los Angeles area since 1964, was called by The Lord on August 15, 2013. Born in El Sauz, a place in the region of Chihuahua in Mexico on March 26, 1930. Like many, Rosa a Mexican immigrant came to this country to seek a better life. Despite the lack of formal education and the inability to read and write, Rosa had the will and the drive to become a productive citizen of this country. She was first employed in the factory industry when first arrived in this country and later transitioned into a generous compassionate caretaker for over twenty years. She was a wonderful mother to her only child Jose "Joseph" Lopez (41). She is survived by her son and five grandchildren Rebecca "Becca" (20), Cynthia (16), Alyssa (15), Andrew (13) and Jonathan (9). She was an avid walker averaging two to five miles per day. It was this activity that kept her in good health and strong for 83 years. She will be missed in the heart of the many she came to know.
Memorial services will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, 8665 California Ave, South Gate, Ca 90280 on Wednesday 21, 2013 from 5-9pm.
