Charles Arthur Taube

Passed to eternal life on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the age of 88. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Romaine. Loving father of Sandra (Thomas) Polacek. Dear grandfather of Roxanne Lutz and Missy (Corey Ryan) Polacek. Great-grandfather of Tyler, the late Brett, and Jacob Lutz, Zack Polacek, and Adam and Daphne Ryan. Cherished brother of the late Lois (the late Charles) Powell. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Charles was a decorated Army WWII Veteran (1943-1946). He also was the proud past owner of the Peacock Tavern in Cudahy. Chuck was a retiree of the Ladish Co. Special thanks to Aurora VNA nurses and the staff of Zilber Hospice for their care and compassion.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Charles "Chuck's" Life will be held, Friday, August 2, at the funeral home from 5-7pm, with a service at 6:30PM. Private inurnment Woodlawn Cemetey. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Aurora VNA Zilber Hospice are appreciated.
