Frank Chojnowski

Passed away Monday, December 10th, 2012 at age 99. Born in and long-time resident of South Milwaukee, Preceded in death by his parents: John and Mary (nee Janowska); brothers: Joseph, Anthony, Adelbert and sister: Johanna (Sr Triphonia of School Sisters of St Francis).

Frank was a devoted member of Divine Mercy Catholic Church. As a young man, he joined the Alexian Brothers in Chicago from 1939-1946. He was a member of the Brewery Workers Local 9 UAW, having worked at Schlitz Brewery for 23 years. Frank greeted many people as he walked and rode the bus in and around South Milwaukee and Cudahy until he was 97. He lived alone until he moved into assisted living at age 98. Frank had a kind heart and strong outspoken opinions.

Special thanks to the staff at Clement Manor Assisted Living Center for their compassionate care of Frank during the past year and to the staff at Froedtert Hospital for their kind care of Frank during his hospitalization.

Visitation Friday, December 14th from 9:30-10:00AM at DIVINE MERCY CHURCH (800 Marquette Av, South Milwaukee) with Mass of Christian Burial 10:00AM. Interment Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
