We were so sad to hear of the passing of Aunt Harriet. In past years we enjoyed her phone calls at Christmas time to catch up on the family news. She was such a warm, kind person. She made you feel good just being around her, because she always had a smile and a positive comment. I know her family will miss her greatly, and we extend our sympathies to them. John and Cindy Zoesch

We will miss you mom and your kind spirit. You were a woman of great dignity, and kindness. I pray that your legacy of righteousness and generosity, through Christ, will be forever embraced and replaced in the lives of those you touched. You really were one in a trillion.

Thanks for the memories.

My husband, Ed, found the notice online. My connection with the Rouse Family goes back 50+ years when we were next door neighbors. In Springfield, IL. My mother had died when I was fifteen. Harriet...even with the responsibilities of parenting her large family...always reached out to me. I vividly remember her putting the kids to bed and then inviting me over to her home and helping me with a sewing project. Harriet was a generous and selfless human being who certainly was a positive influence in the lives of so many.
