

Matusewick, Marlene Mae (nee Zinda). Passed away peacefully on Saturday March 16, 2013 at the age of 77 years. Marlene will always be loved and remembered by her husband of 59 years, Stanley, and their three children: Debra (Greg) Canak, Cheryl (Frank) Parker, and Joseph (Debi) Matusewick. She was the daughter of William Zinda and Ester Harder, and was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren: Brian (Jamie), Mathew, Michael, Beth, Mark, Andrew, Lynn, Frank, and Christy. She was also the beloved great-grandmother of eight great-grandchildren: Madelyn, Mavie, Elliana, Lauren, Cody, Alyssa, Logan, and Molly. Preceded in death by her siblings, William, Audrey, and Robert. A Long time resident of South Milwaukee, she will be deeply missed by relatives, friends, and all who were touched by her sincere kindness, humor, compassion, and generosity. For many years, Marlene was an active member of the Lakeridge Boat Club. She was also an office manager and a Girl Scout Leader. An avid nature lover, Marlene enjoyed hiking along the Gile Flowage by the family's cabin in Pence, in Northeastern Wisconsin. As one of the founders of Friends of the Gile Flowage (FOG), she strongly supported protecting the area's enviromental treasures.
Memorial Service Saturday March 23rd at 12 NOON at the Funeral Home. Private inurnment. Visitation Saturday, at the Funeral Home, from 10 AM until time of Service.
