Vermitta M Rapant

Walked with Alzheimer's for 20 years. Home with Jesus and her husband, John J; parents: Vermitta and Ed; grandparents: Maude and Ben and sister: Elaine on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 93 years. Loving mother of John Rapant Jr and Vermitta Ann "Mitzi" Rapant. Also survived by other relatives, friends and classmates.

A special thanks to Elaine Szarkowitz and Doug and Merry Boudreau, Shirley Holman, LaVerne Greenwood, John Rapant Jr, case managers and casworkers for their help and care.

DeeDee worked at Woolworth's Dime Store for three years and was a crossing guard at Lincoln School, retiring after 37 years, both in Cudahy. She received a special commendation as "The 12 Who Care" from Channel 12 for her contributions to community life in Wisconsin. She enjoyed spending time in Manitowish Waters with her grandmother and mother, owning part of the island and the mainland on Stone Lake.

Visitation Friday, March 29 from 4:00-7:00PM at the funeral home. Interment Pinelawn Cemetery in Manitowish Waters, WI, Tuesday, April 2 at 1:00PM.
