Anthony was born on May 17th, 1957, at Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ, to Giulia and Anthony Iaquinto Sr. He attended and graduated from Springfield High School, (Class of 1976).
He went on to work, managed and eventually take over the family restaurant, Pizza City, in Wyndmoor.
Anthony was a kind and generous man who touched the lives of so many. He spent his career making his customers his friends, and serving up the “real deal” pizza. He woke early every morning to make the dough, prepare the sauce, and grate the cheese. He put his heart into every bit of the pizza, because his customers deserve “the best”.
Pizza City was not just your average pizza shop. When you entered those doors, you were greeted by a friend who truly cared and appreciated every single person he came in contact with. From Tony Sr. to Tony Jr., Pizza City was a staple in the community they were proud of.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Marianne Iaquinto (Gioquindo); his son, Christopher Iaquinto; His grandchildren, Althea and Grey Iaquinto; his beloved mother Giulia Iaquinto; his sister, Lisa Bornholdt (Jeff); his nephews Kristofer Bornholdt (Taylor); and Thomas Bornholdt; his nieces, Kelly Clinefelter (John); Susan Owen (Dave); and Melissa Coleman (Zach); and many great nieces and nephews.
Anthony is preceded in death by his father, Anthony Iaquinto Sr.; his brother, Joseph Iaquinto, and sister, Anna High.
We have lost the cornerstone of our family, and the community lost a true friend. He was loved by all, and will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Sam’s Hope, a charity that Anthony found near and dear to his heart honoring his beloved dog Sam. There is a link to the webpage below in the "Donations" section.
A celebration of his life is scheduled for Sunday August 3rd, from 1pm to 4pm, at the family home, located at 933 Tennis Ave, Ambler, PA 19002.
