OBITUARY

Anthony Frank Washofsky

October 14, 1931March 20, 2018

Anthony Washofsky passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the age of eighty-six. He leaves behind his wife Doris, with whom he was married for sixty-four years, his son Richard Washofsky, M.D. of Beijing, China, his daughter Janice Bonner, her husband, Kevin, and 2 grandchildren, Griffin and Scarlett, of Baltimore, Maryland.

He was a first-team All-American soccer player while at Drexel University, where he earned his Mechanical Engineering degree in 1958. Anthony was named to the Drexel University Hall of Fame and had won the Lt. Thomas Patrick Green Memorial Award in 1958.

He was a long-time member of the Vereinigung Erzgebirge Club in Warminster where he enjoyed playing and coaching soccer. Anthony also enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at 11 AM on Monday, March 26, 2018 at St. Vincent De Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954. His entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Feasterville.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Vereinigung Erzgebirge, 130 Davisville Rd, Warminster, PA 18974.

I just learned of Tony's passing late last night. Tony was undeniably one of the nicest and genuine men that I have ever met. My thoughts and prayers are with Doris and the entire family. God Bless.

I will always remember tony as a good friend who was very intelligent and caring and never used that as a person who was above others. Just one great person who i had the good fortune to know ! Rest In Peace Tony !
