Barbara "Bobbie" Ann Driver

Barbara Ann Driver, affectionately known as "Bobbie" or "Babs", age 76, passed away on Wednesday, July 29th, 2026 at Abington Hospital. Bobbie was a long time resident of the Montgomery and Bucks County area.

Bobbie was also born at Abington hospital, to parents, Edward and Mildred Driver. She graduated from Abington High School in 1969, and enjoyed working at the family hardware store growing up.

Bobbie loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed watching her nieces mature into young women, and in small doses she got to experience the chaos of her great nieces and great nephew growing up. Bobbie felt most comfortable with a routine, which meant she mostly enjoyed spending time alone doing the hobbies she loved. Some of those hobbies included reading, word puzzles, and knitting. She loved singing and humming along to musicals (very well knowing she was tone deaf) as well as listening to her favorite opera singer, Luciano Pavarotti. Bobbie had a special interest in all things history related. She was a wealth of knowledge ranging in anything from war dates and details - to her own family tree. Her unique retentive memory gave her the ability to recall detailed accounts of anything she had previously learned or lived through. She had a great fondness for cats, in which she owned several throughout her life. Her Christian faith was important to her. Bobbie liked reading passages from her Bible daily and watched Sunday Mass weekly from her TV at home.

She was a woman with such a kind soul. Other than playfully teasing her ‘kid’ sister ‘Bethy’ from time to time, she didn’t have a bad bone in her body. Bobbie was gentle, caring, and overall naturally good-hearted. She had a number of organizations and causes that she regularly donated to. A few of her favorites included St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project, and the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. She will always be remembered for her kind nature, unique individuality, and her love of iced tea and chocolates.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mildred Driver.

Bobbie is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Wager (Doug), her nieces, Kelsey Wager and Katherine Kulp (Ryan), and her great nieces and nephew, Isabella, Ryan, and Charlotte.
