Dorothy G. Taylor

Dorothy was born on November 16, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA, to parents, William H. and Mildred K. (Snyder) Grant. She was a resident of Tyrone, PA for 11 years, and before that a resident of Doylestown and Churchville.

Dot enjoyed camping, hiking, and took pleasure in the presence of God's beauty, observing chipmunks, squirrels, birds, deer and visits from Tovi. She was always concerned for those in need. She loved children and supported many missions. Over the course of her life, she took in 23 foster children. She had a passion for sharing her faith in the Lord and her Savior Jesus Christ.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 45 years, Kenneth H. Taylor; two sisters, Lois Beideman and Marilyn Dickel; and her beloved grandson, Alex Taylor.

Dorothy is survived by her eight children, Linda (David) String, Carl (Merilee) Taylor, Glenn Taylor, Mark (Linda) Taylor, William (Maureen) Taylor, Wanda (Bret) Richards, David (Gela) Taylor, and Laura (Chris) Milford; seventeen grandchildren, Karen, Jenny, David, Michael, Danielle, Joey, Grant, Haileigh, Kelly Hope, Nick, Jordyn, Michele, Bret Jr., Christina, Tabitha, Abigail, Zachery; nineteen great-grandchildren, Russell, Claire, Harvey, Calvin, Weston, Mycah, Gabriella, Henry, Ruby, Alyssa, Ava, Bret III, Hunter, Hudson, IslaJane, Adelaide, Vinnie, George, Charlie.

For family and friends in the Tyrone, PA area, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Preserve at Cedarwood in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, 925 S. Lincoln Avenue, Tyrone, PA 16686, on November 18, 2023 at 1:30PM.

For family and friends in the Philadelphia, PA area, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at New Life Community Church in Huntington Valley, 2680 Huntingdon Pike, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006, on December 9, 2023 at 11:00AM.
