

Elizabeth Sharpless Miller David died on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at her residence in Huntingdon Valley. She was 95 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Edna Schnabel Miller. Elizabeth had previously been a resident of Bryn Athyn.
Mrs. David was a retired teacher with the Abington School District. She was a graduate of West Chester University. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International of women educators.
Elizabeth was excellent piano player. She was an active volunteer with the Bryn Athyn Church and a number of local organizations. Elizabeth was an avid sports fan. She enjoyed following the Rams of West Chester University and the Lions of the Academy of the New Church. She also was a fan of the Phillies and Eagles.
Elizabeth was the beloved wife of Dandridge M. K. David for 42 years before his death in 1997. She was the devoted mother of Lois D. Spracklin (Mark) of Rotonda FL, Beverly Smith (Gregory) of Toms River NJ, Gordon S. David (Anne) of Charlotte NC and the late Jane Fassbender (she is survived by her husband Peter). She is also survived by ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Mrs. David’s service and interment will be private.
