

Gary Winston Tarbert (affectionately known as G-Man, Garo, and Unkie Gary) left this earth on Thursday, January 17, 2013 and was joyfully welcomed into the family VW bus in Heaven. He was 70 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, he is the beloved son of the late Harold L. and Violet L. Freestone Tarbert. He was a resident of Feasterville since 1956 and had previously lived in Philadelphia.
Gary was a devoted and loved employee of White Chapel Memorial Park in Feasterville for the past 17 years.
He was a proud Navy veteran and had served on the USS Randolph. During his service he participated in the Bay of Pigs Invasion and the recovery of John Glenn’s space capsule. Gary was a former member of the Trevose Heights Rescue Squad (now Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad)
He was known to break into a spirited Elvis Presley song and dance at family weddings and nights at “The Ship” in Wildwood.
Gary was the beloved brother of Janet L. Hoffman (and his life brother John Granauro) of Marco Island, FL. He was the loving uncle of Denise Anne Aroniss and the late Mark Erik Hoffman; adored great uncle of Christopher, Amanda, Sean, and Megan Aroniss. He is also survived by many cherished family, friends and neighbors.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013from 10 AM to 11:30 AM at the Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home, Street Road & 2nd Street Pike (659 Street Road), Southampton, PA 18966. His service will be at 11:30 AM. His interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Park in Feasterville.
