

George is survived by Aleta, his beloved wife of 49 years; Timothy, his eldest son, along with son, George III, daughter in-law, Karen, and his grandchildren, Maxx, Cole and Karlee.
George was born the son of Lt. Col. George Carl Hofmann Sr., U.S. Army, and his wife, Eleanor, on Nov. 5, 1942 in Salem, Ore. George spent most of his early years growing up in Allentown, Pa. and was a graduate of Louis E. Dieruff High School. Upon graduation, George enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he was trained and served as radar technician.
Upon his honorable discharge, George spent the next 42 years of his life as a dedicated employee of Unisys Corporation (respectively RCA and Sperry Univac), working as a computer technician, then retiring as a manager at the their corporate headquarters in Blue Bell, Pa.
George went on to become a Pennsylvania licensed Motor Vehicle Physical Damage Appraiser, spending 11 years acting as such and working with his son, George III, at Autocare USA in Philadelphia.
George was an avid boater spending most of his leisure time boating the Delaware River and Chesapeake Bay. George was an honorary lifetime member, former Commodore and Trustee of the Bristol Yacht Club, where he leaves behind years of wonderful memories and many good friends.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate George's life and memory at 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Bristol Yacht Club, 7230 Parkwyn Ave., Bristol, PA 19007. George will be buried in Washington Crossing National Cemetery with full military honors.
