
Harry E. Wood died on Friday November 12, 2010 at Wynwood of Montgomery in North Wales. He was 87 years of age. Born in Chester, PA, he had been a resident of Lansdale for 53 years/ He had formerly lived in Ambler.
Harry was the beloved husband of Dorothy E. Wood for 36 years.
Mr. Wood was a retired electronics engineer. He had been a longtime employee of Ferco Ford in Lansdale. He was an Army veteran of WW II serving as a Staff Sergeant. Harry enjoyed going to stock car races and roller-skating. He loved to go ballroom dancing with his wife. He also rebuilt antique tube radios. Mr. Wood’s passion was playing beautiful music on his organ.
Harry was the devoted father of Ronald E. Wood of Quakertown, Sharon M. (Blaine) Cameron of Sellersville, and Brenda (Andrew) Good of Warminster. He was the step-father of Barbra (Rob) Stoddard of Bethesda, MD and Susan Chenowits of Florida. He was the brother of the late Doris McDonald. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Harry will be sadly missed by all his loved ones and friends as well as the new friends he has made at Wynwood of Montgomeryville and Crossroads Hospice of Horsham. Their dedicated care and love will always be remembered and appreciated by Harry’s family.
His service and interment will be held privately, under the direction of the Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home, Southampton, PA
