Harry Joseph Zobel

Harry was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 25, 1938. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Eileen (nee Goebig) Zobel. He is a veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1956-1959 on the USS Vogelsang.

After leaving the Navy, Harry worked as a boiler engineer for several industries and retired from the State of New Jersey.

Harry and Eileen spent 1997-2019 living in Florida and enjoyed their retirement by making new friends and hosting their family on visits to their home.

His hobbies included boating, flying model remote controlled airplanes and vacationing with his large family. He was a member of the Northeast Phila Radio Control Club, AMA Chapter 1632.

Harry was predeceased by his son William Zobel, his daughter Theresa Vivacqua, and his sister Margaret Shaw.

He is survived by his loving wife Eileen, son Harry E. Zobel (Teresa), daughters Joy Zobel, Lori Bunalski (Tom), Rose Rupright (Rob), sisters Catherine Bahr and Florence Schank, beloved in-laws Tom and Janis Goebig, 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
