

Joseph Magyar, Jr. died on Friday, May 10, 2013 at the St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, surrounded by his family. He was 76 years of age. Born in Youngstown, OH, he was the son of the late Joseph and Bertha Legnon Magyar. Joseph had been a Southampton, PA resident since 1968; he was formerly of Philadelphia and Youngstown.
The past several years Joseph Magyar was employed by Bux-Mont Transportation, working with special needs children. He was a very family oriented man.
Joseph was the beloved Husband of Kay F. Hontz Magyar for 24 years before her death in 1982. He was the devoted father of Russell J. Magyar (Debbie) of Southampton and Belinda Tinney (John) of Warrington. He was the loving grandfather of Desiree and Russell Magyar, John and Kristen Tinney; great grandfather of Gavin and London . He was the brother of Donna Jean Haddon of Hubbard, OH, Marilyn Zarella of San Ysidro, CA, and the late Patricia Tritt. He is also survived by his brother in-law Richard Hontz (Lorraine) of North Wales, PA. He was also survived by many Nieces and Nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, May 17th from 10 to 11 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 2nd Street Pike & Knowles Ave, Southampton, PA 18966. His Memorial Mass will follow at 11 AM. The inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
