

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph T. Staszeski, a beloved husband, father, and Poppy. He passed away at the age of 88, with his beloved wife Kathy and his children by his side. Joseph had four sons Joesph (Tanya), Michael (Briana), Ryan (Danielle), and Erik. Joseph adored his three grandchildren, Zoe, Nicholas, and Jonathan. Joseph was a dear Uncle to Leighanne, Pasquale (Lisa), Gregorio (Kim) and Gina. To their children he was a second grandfather.
Joseph served in the US ARMY and was a master carpenter who dedicated his entire working career to the Carpenter's Union of Philadelphia, PA. His craftsmanship was unparalleled his greatest accomplishments include a hunting cabin in Jim Thrope and building a home in Southampton, PA. Not to mention the tree house he built for his boys that still stands high in the tree at his Southampton home.
One of the greatest highlights of Joseph's life was meeting his wife, Kathy Hilferty, in Jim Thorpe. They were married for 53 years and shared a lifetime of love and happiness together, which they both agreed was one of the best marriages anyone could hope to have. Joseph filled the homes he built in Southampton, PA and at the cabin Jim Thorpe with memories that it would take most 3 lifetimes to amass.
Joseph hunted at his cabin, enjoyed fishing, and went on multiple hunting trips around the country. Joseph began doing taxidermy at early age and did it throughout his life until recently. He spent many happy days with Bill and Mary Anne Weir (their neighbors) and their children, whom he loved as much as his own children, Billy, Stephen, Tim, and Matthew at the pool. Countless vacations were spent in Florida and Cabo, Mexico with the Weir’s and Palcino’s (Ray and Jeanette).
Joseph lived a life full of travel and outdoor adventures, doing it all with his dearest family and friends at his side. He will be remembered for his strength, his unconditional love, and humility. The life he lived and the way that he loved his family will be remembered by all who knew him.
Services will be held in memory of Joseph T. Staszeski Saturday, September 6, 2025. Visitation: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home Inc., 659 Street Road, Southampton, PA 18966. Afterwhich, a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM with a Luncheon to follow.
