Marie’s career of choice would have been nursing but due to a hearing problem, she went to Westchester Community College to become a Lab Technician where she met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Rimm. They married six months later during the Christmas break. After working only a few years, Marie became a full time mom. As a mom, she was very involved in scouting, both the boys and girls, St. Ann’s PTA in Ossining, NY, sewing for Appalachian children, as well as South American orphans. She also had a great love for bridge, playing monthly for years with the same group.
She is survived by her husband, Robert (Bob) of Doylestown PA, her five children: Robert Jr. (Susan) of Garrison, NY, William (Marie) of Conway, SC, Thomas (Susan) of Jamison, PA, Margaret/Peggy (Eugene) Lockwood of Blooming Grove, NY and Kevin (Tammy) Dandridge, TN. She is also survived by her brother, William (Suzanne) Colville, Andover, NJ, her sister-in-law and second cousin, Virginia (Ginny) Kelly Rimm. She will also be greatly missed by her ten grandchildren: William, Christopher, Jennifer, Andrew, Steven Holland, Eugene Lockwood, Christine Lockwood, Sean Lockwood, Samantha Rimm Pilkerton and Elizabeth Rimm Brown, along with her great-grandchildren: Madison, Ashley, Joshua, Layla, Liam, Nathaniel, Hailey , with two more on the way and her seven nieces and nephews, and many Colville cousins.
Cremation and Burial will be private.
