It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marjorie Emma Campbell on April 17, 2026, at the age of 93. She was surrounded by family when she was called home by God to join her loving husband Harry Lee Campbell, who died three days earlier.
Marge was born in Morrisville, PA, on July 9, 1932, and is the daughter of the late Harry and Alice Carter. While in high school, her brother Richard brought home a fellow Navy shipman named Harry Lee Campbell while they were both on leave. It was love at first sight and Marge and Harry began their journey together.
Marge and Harry were married on July 19, 1952 and moved to New Castle, PA. They had three boys and relocated to Hamilton Square, NJ, in 1963. Marge dedicated her life to creating a loving and nurturing home for her family. Her buttermilk pancakes and Gram Carter’s coffee cake recipes have been passed down through the years and will be a reminder of her love for cooking.
In 1972, Marge began working at New Jersey Bell as a secretary. She spent 20 years there and retired in 1992.
Marge enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables throughout the summer. She also enjoyed spending time in LBI and cooking fresh fish after Harry came home with the catch of the day. Marge and Harry loved vacationing on many cruise lines with their friends. After spending winters in Florida, she and Harry relocated there full-time in 2008. In April of 2022, they returned to NJ to be with family. They will be missed by the many friends they made along the way.
Being a Mother was Marge’s single greatest joy and she will be missed dearly by her family. She is survived by her children, Gary, and his wife Barb; Mark, and his wife Diana; and David, and his wife Gail. Marge was a beloved grandmother to five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Wesley Campbell, his wife Annah and their children Isabella, Aubrey, Abigail and Logan; Amy Gregoire and her children Lucas and Harrison; Ryan Campbell, his wife Christy and their son Mason; Alex Campbell and his partner Lanie; and Christopher and his wife Rachel.
To honor Marge’s love for God, her family is requesting that donations be made to Trinity Episcopal Church in New Castle, PA. Donations can be directed to:
