

Norman Ulman died on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at his residence. Born in Somerville, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Joseph and Sophie Cichon Ulman. Norman was a Bucks County resident since 1979 and has lived in Holland since 1997.
Mr. Ulman was a software engineer. He had been an employee of Sperry / Unisys and Vitro as contractor at the Johnsville Naval Air Development Center in Warminster. Norman was in involved in the development of Doppler radar, improvements in microchips and sonar, and in the development of drones. He had previously worked for Johnson and Johnson in New Jersey. One of Norman’s first jobs was as a temporary teacher for troubled teens at the Patterson Junior High in Dayton, OH
Norman love music and was a talented guitarist. He played in a number of Blues Bands.
He was a Viet Nam veteran. Norman was a member of VFW Post 2290 in Manville, NJ. He was an avid supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project.
Norman was the beloved husband of Kathryn Elvidge Ulman for 18 years. He was the devoted step-father of Jacob Anders of Holland and Timothy Anders of Jamison. He was the loving brother of Joan Polak of Manville, NJ
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, February 4th from 6 to 8 PM at the Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home, Street Road & 2nd Street Pike, Southampton. His Memorial Service will be at 8 PM.
