

Ray co-founded the company Johnson Building Systems Inc., May 5th, 1969 and was successful in dealing with the stress and growth of the business. He never retired from the company. He made time to get a degree in Mechanical Technology in the evening school at Temple Univ. He served as President of the Lower Makefield Jaycees and the Feasterville Rotary Service Organizations. As a military veteran with the US Navy, Ray served 4 years at the end of the Korean conflict in an administrative capacity as Chaplain's assistant. Ray had a second home in Harbor Cove Somers Point, NJ, where he would retreat from the battle with Cancer and Parkinson's.
Those who knew Ray would say he lived life to the fullest. He was always ready with a smile and a kind word for strangers. His favorite quote was "Lord make my smile a window for your light to shine through and a mirror to reflect your love to all I meet, old and new."
Ray is survived by his wife, Beverly; his brother, William Frank Sears; sons, Michael Aiken, Paul Jeffery Sears; daughters, Laurie Sears Deppa, Julie Lawson and Heather Philbrick; stepson, Timothy A. Watson and many loving grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Peggy, MaryAnn and Barbara.
Memorial Services to be held on Saturday, February 21st, from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. at WM. ROWEN GRANT FUNERAL HOME, INC., Street Road and 2nd St. Pike, Southampton, PA 18966. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts to be provided in Ray's memory to Foxchase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19111.
