
He was born in Philadelphia on February 9, 1928 to Frank A. Burns and Helen Taulane. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edith, his parents, and his sister Helen Evans. He is survived by his nephew, Thomas L. Evans, and his niece, Aileen Evans McGinty, and several great nieces and nephews.
He served in the Navy during World War II and then returned to Philadelphia where he worked in an electronics factory and as a Pharmacy Technician at Bryn Mawr Hospital. He was always interested in learning new things and adopting new technology.
A visitation for Robert will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home Inc., 659 Street Road, Southampton, Pennsylvania 18966. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 12:00 PM at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 W. Cheltenham Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Robert will be laid to rest in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 W Cheltenham Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
