Tom is survived by his parents, Ralph Grant and Jean Gray, his sister, Jennifer Grant, his children, Miles, Derek, James, Liam and Regan and his former spouses, Christine Grant and Shari Rutenberg.
Tom struggled for many years with an addiction that consumed him. Despite his pain, he tried to work hard in a career he enjoyed and to show up as a parent to the children he loved dearly.
Tom was a proud member of the Marine Corps Reserve and a volunteer fire fighter. Many of us who loved Tom are grieving someone who was lost long ago. It is that Tom to whom we say thank you. Thank you Tom, for your unbridled passion for people, music and art. Thank you for making us laugh until it hurt, over and over and over. Thank you for feeling deeply. Thank you for making us feel loved by you and wanting more. Thank you for trying your best until the very end.
