

Walter was born May 25, 1933 in Southampton, PA, to parents, Robert and Anita (Scott) McKenney. He went to Upper Southampton Warminster High School. Walter went on to establish his career as a Plant Operations Supervisor, working for the Department of Agriculture for over 30 years. He also was involved with the Southampton Fire Company for 75 years as the first Assistant Chief, and then as a Trustee.
Walter’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He was involved with the Pennsylvania National Guard for 2 years, Boy Scouts, and Cub Scouts. He enjoyed being in nature, and loved spending time with family and friends.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of over 60 years, Constance McKenney; and sisters, Mary, Marian, Roberta, and Katherine.
Walter is survived by his four sons, Scott and wife Karen, Brian, Glenn and fiancé Nicole, and Kevin; three grandchildren, Michael, Amanda, and Ben; sister, Linda; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a two-hour Visitation on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Rowen Grant Funeral Home, 659 Street Road, Southampton, PA, 18966, from 9:00am – 11:00am. Service will begin at 11:00am, with a burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Southampton Fire Company.
