Winifred Joachim Weintraub passed peacefully, on Thursday, June 07, 2018 at her residence. She was eighty-seven years young. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late David M. and Betty Rubel Joachim. Winifred has been a resident at Ann’s Choice in Warminster since July of last year. She previously lived for twenty years at The Grove in Boynton Beach, FL and was a longtime resident of Langhorne and Levittown, where she raised her family.
Winifred was a retired guidance counselor. She was a longtime employee of the Bristol Township School District. Winifred graduated from New York University and received her Master’s degrees from NYU and Temple University.
She loved travel, music, Broadway shows, swimming and tennis. She brought love, light and laughter to so many throughout all of her 87 years, even up to her last days.
Winnie was the beloved wife of Richard Z. Weintraub, who passed away in January. She died on the date of their sixty-fifth wedding anniversary. She was the devoted mother of Gail Page (Rick) of Perkasie and Bruce Weintraub (Judy) of Valley Forge. She was the loving grandmother of Jonathan, Michael, David, Chad, Thyra and great-grandchildren. She was Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Winnie’s memorial service will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Winifred's memory may be made to Hadassah, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
