Born on November 15th, 1940, in Plainfield NJ, daughter of the late Glen and Helen Meyers. She graduated from Penn State University in 1961 with a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics. Throughout her life, she brought grace, strength, and a nurturing spirit to everyone she met—whether in her home, her community, or among friends.
She had a lifelong love of music and found joy in playing the guitar, filling her home with melody and warmth. Her gentle nature also extended to animals, especially cats. Over the years, she lovingly cared for many furry feline companions, each one a treasured member of the family.
She and her husband, Frazier, were active members of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Southport, North Carolina, where they found fellowship, faith, and a welcoming spiritual community.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Frazier Crane; her sons, Gregory and his wife Brenda, and Andrew Miller; and her beloved granddaughters, Meghan and Jessica Miller. She was also a proud and caring presence in the lives of Frazier’s four children: Andrew, Polly, Chris, and Jeffrey.
She will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle wisdom, musical spirit, and the warmth she brought into the lives of her family and all who knew her.
A memorial service will be at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, July 12th at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a donation to a meaningful charity of your choice in her memory.
