Born on September 24, 1941, in Yonkers, New York, Barbara touched countless hearts throughout her life with her kindness, loyalty, and genuine affection for family and friends. She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Thomas; her sons Kenneth of Jersey City, New Jersey, and Richard of Wilmington, North Carolina; her brothers Tom Neubert and his wife Reatha of Pauma Valley, California, and John Neubert of Bradenton, Florida; as well as her beloved nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her parents Muriel St. John Neubert and Lawrence Neubert, and her sister-in-law Joan Neubert.
A graduate of Kansas State College in Pittsburg, Kansas, Barbara began her career at Geigy Pharmaceuticals in Ardsley, New York. She continued with the company through its merger, working at Ciba-Geigy in Summit, New Jersey, where she dedicated 20 years of service before retiring to pursue new endeavors. Her professional journey also included a small business venture as well as a position at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, New Jersey.
In 1999, Barbara and Tom embraced a new chapter of their lives, relocating from North Caldwell, New Jersey, to Saint James, where Barbara immersed herself in community life. She became an active member of the Saint James Service Club, the Activities Committee, the Ladybirds, and the Ladies Golf Association. Her passions were many: she delighted in golfing, playing bridge with dear friends, reading, dancing, cheering for the New York Yankees, and exploring the world through travel—particularly cruises
to the Caribbean, Alaska, and Europe. Barbara’s presence brought joy to all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by family and friends alike.
Honoring her wishes, no funeral services will be held; a private memorial will take place at a later date.
