Bonnie was born on March 29, 1959, daughter of the late Floyd Lindberg Lewis and Jean Marie Lewis. She had worked for 30 years for the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office and the Southport Police Department. She was a lifelong resident of Southport. Bonnie loved to sit on the waterfront and read.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Lewis. Bonnie is survived by her sister, Debbie Lewis; a niece, Amanda Hannel and husband Jeremy; and a great-niece, Aria Hannel.
The family will have visitation on Saturday, February 7, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 8, 2026 in the Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplin Michelle Cheeks. Entombment will follow the service at Brunswick Memorial Gardens in Shallotte.
