Boyce Payne Broadwell

Mr. Broadwell was born in Guilford County, North Carolina, son of the late Lonnie Broadwell and Louise Freeman Broadwell. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Oak Island. He loved his church and family. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and his many friends. Mr. Broadwell was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who never met a stranger. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his sister Jackie Pate.

Survivors include his wife, Ginger Broadwell of Oak Island; children, Wendy Talton of Southport, Andy Broadwell and wife Lauren of Southport, and Adam Broadwell and wife Jenna of Oak Island; stepchildren, Renee Lipman and husband Bill of Atlanta and Amber Bolduc of Oak Island; brother Larry Broadwell and wife Brenda of Lugoff; sister Ann Whitt and husband Billy of Southport; 14 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 1:00pm Monday, July 31, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Oak Island with Reverend Charlie Carter officiating. Entombment will follow at Cape Fear Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the church.

Active pallbearers will be Richard Mabe, Eric McPherson, Bill Lipman, Johnny Sears, Joe Sears, and Danny Tart.

Honorary pallbearers will be Everett Cameron, Joe Buie, John Hunt, and all of Boyce’s beloved contractor friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Oak Island Building Fund, 4608 E. Oak Island Drive, Oak Island, NC 28465.
