Brenda Royal Corkhill

Brenda was born September 27, 1947, daughter of the late Sam and Mildred Royal.

Survivors include her husband, Douglas K. Corkhill; four children, Kim Tordik and husband Greg, Paul Fiedler and wife Lindsay, Adam Fiedler, and Philip Fiedler and wife Ali; seven grandchildren, Justin Tordik, Hunter Fiedler, Paul Fiedler, Samantha Tordik, Gannon Fiedler, Roman Fiedler, and Thorin Fiedler; a grandson to be born in May; and a brother, Jay Royal.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, June Haynes; and her first husband, Paul T. Fiedler.

Brenda was a devoted Mother and Grandmother and enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports (especially hockey and dance competitions). She loved holidays spent with family. Brenda loved the city of Southport and was retired from The State Port Pilot.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Southport Community Building, 223 E Bay St. Southport, NC 28461, on Sunday, March 16, 2025 between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.
