Wow, I know it’s been a while since you left bro, but I just found out. I was wondering how old friends from school were doing and I searched up your name and the first thing I see is that you’ve moved on from the world. I still remember you man, from elementary/middle school in Island Village Montessori in Florida. You were a good friend. Take it easy up there bro, I see you!

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we send our sincerest condolences for the loss of your son and brother.  It has been an honor reading about his life and the lives he touched.  As parents, we provide love, support and guidance so our children can be who they are meant to be.  If they are happy, they make the world better.  You raised a beautiful soul and the world is better because of Cameron.  He left a mark on so many that neither time nor space can erase.  Be proud of that and stay strong for each other.

Cameron was always such a blast when he came down to visit Atlanta. I remember teaching him to ice skate when he came to visit. He picked it up so quickly and even bought his own skates to practice in North Carolina. He was so ambitious and kind. He always had a smile on his face. I’ll miss you, Cameron.

I miss you buddy. I wish we could have got together when I was in town last summer. If only I knew it was my last chance. Either way, I'm thankful for the friend you were to me, especially when I was needed one. I can't believe you're gone. Save me a seat next to the river, I'll have lots of stories for you. Cameron had his life together better than I ever will.. Always positive, friendly, smiling, helping, joking and full of knowledge and love. If he wanted something he WORKED hard until he got it. BMW he got it... Porsche he got it... Rolex he got it....Name a tune and he would learn to play the song on multiple instruments. He recently earned his Captains license, motorcycle license and was even taking flying lessons. All these accomplishments at just 22 years old!

Our lives were so intertwined that I quickly realized I can't do or even see many things without thinking of him. Nintendo games, electric scooters, Piano music, Luxury watches, Auntie Anne's, Stranger Things, DragonCon, Expensive cars, almost every activity in Atlanta (we spent a lot of time together here) certain colognes, foods, clothes, stores, sunglasses. I see Cameron as if I'm wearing a virtual reality headset and he is standing there with me. 

I will forever miss, but always remember the sparkle in his eyes, contagious laughter and the smile that could turn anyone's day around. A positive light and inspiration to us all.

When Cameron and I first met we had that rare click. Instant friends, Best friends, Close friends. So much so that we talked consecutively for 1,774 days (4 Years and 86 Days) never missing one. 

We never once had an argument or disagreement. Always a whirlwind fun time full of laughter and smiles. I'll always treasure our time together and the many trips we were able to take. Hawaii and New York will always belong to Cameron for me. 

After we got back from New York... a few days later Cameron jokingly asked "When are we going back to New York?" We had plans for Vegas, Europe, Universal Orlando, and a Caribbean cruise. We were the best of travel buddies always going the same speed and wanting to see and do as much as possible. I inspired him to get his passport and it breaks my heart he never got to use it. 

I promise, every trip I take I will leave remembrances and honor Cameron around the world for the rest of my life. I will light candles for him in Cathedrals across Europe and spread his good name and cheer everywhere I go. 

If I called Cameron he would ALWAYS pick up or call me back within minutes and apologize for missing the call. I talked to Cameron for over an hour on February 29th and over 2 hours on February 15th. We talked of future trips, his excitement of buying a house and his future plans and just the usual friend banter that was so easy and natural for us. We had even made silly plans and a pact if one us ever won that BIG lottery prize what we would get each other. 

Anytime I needed help I could call on Cameron. He would either have the solution or find someone for me that would in record time. He helped out my whole family in different ways. My mother moving, my father when he had a burst pipe in his backyard, my sister when her A/C was broken after she had knee surgery. He taught me how to change the brakes on my car..... and the list just goes on and on.

This is a photo Cameron sent me telling me all about his older brother right before I was introduced to his family.

I met Cameron while working next to him at the Olde Brunswick Store. It was such a pleasure to meet somebody so unique. He was so kind yet so awkward at the same time. I remember when he first invited me over to his house, and I stood at the door waiting because I was too scared to knock,  even though he told me to let myself in. He would invite me and a few other over to play games together, and watch cartoons together. I remember the first time he introduced me to his family, who are all so kind and sweet, just like him.  I loved their dogs, and how sweet and fluffy and goofy they were. Cameron would always send me pictures and videos of every event he went to, whether it was about cars, a concert, or a convention, and I enjoyed hearing about his travels. I remember introducing him to the ice skating rink in Wilmington, and didn't realize that he actually went until a few days ago. I'm happy that I was the one to be the first to tell him about it. I miss playing games with his siblings, because I was so bad at it.  If there's one thing I regret about quitting my job as the gas station, it would be the fact that I wasn't able to see all the amazing people that worked next door to me, including Cameron. I'm beyond happy that I had the chance to meet you, Cameron, and maybe one day I'll be able to see you again and tell you about what happens next in all of your favorite shows. Rest peacefully.  I miss you.

We loved Cameron, like everyone did. He was a good friend and always offered help when needed. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

The last time I saw Cameron he was a little boy, running around with his siblings back when you all still lived in Florida. Because I was older I never felt a strong friends connection to the kids, but they felt more like my little siblings than my friends. I felt a sort of responsibility to them, even though I was what, 10? 11? I was the oldest, and they were in my care. I haven't seen Cameron since you moved away, in fact I haven't seen any of you, life does that sometimes. He was such a sweet little boy. I am so so sorry and I love you all so much.

We are so so sorry. What a tragedy for this family we love so much. Our sincere condolences and prayers.

Our family is thinking of the Ogilvie family every day and praying for you all. I pray that each of you will feel the presence of the Lord with you , holding each of you while you walk through this difficult and painful journey.

Here is a picture of us enjoying some Scoops ice cream after a hot long day of band practice. Cameron was always kind enough to let me carpool with him, and he knew to play my favorite song “Drops of Jupiter” by Train.

Here is a picture of Cameron and I the night of homecoming my junior year, his senior year! Fun fact: we were kind-of-sort-of neighbors and the night before he had came over to help me build my float from scratch until about midnight. I was always the procrastinator and he was always nifty.

The day that I got the call that you had passed away, I was in total disbelief to the point I called your phone praying you would answer. I didn’t know you long as everybody else did but in the short time that I did I’m truly thankful for every moment.   I have my moment that I break down thinking about the conversation we had just last week. We talked about everything you had achieved and the goals you still had set for yourself. We had a deep conversation about life. The imagine keeps playing back in my head seeing you that Friday not knowing that was the last time we would physically see you. I try to stay strong for the rest of our work family at times it’s hard, REALLY HARD. Have to go to the bathroom  or warehouse and let go!!!! I miss you buddy you were the Muffin man. Haven’t tried to sell one since you’ve been gone. You was the best friend anyone could ever ask for. Not once did I feel judged by you or never did I feel like I couldn’t be myself around you. I’ve always been afraid to get to know people or always felt as if I didn’t fit in so I stay to myself but you always made me feel apart of a conversation we may have been having in the office. Thank you buddy for the time we got to spend together you will truly be missed. 😭 🕊️ SIP my friend til we all meet again it want be a easy one but your forever in my thoughts.

Cameron and I went to see the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra perform Tchaicovsky's Violin Concerto in D Major, one of Cam's favorite classical pieces. He was a great friend.
