Catherine Mary Thompson

Catherine Mary Thompson age 90 of Southport, North Carolina, formerly of Feasterville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021. Catherine was born May 26, 1931 in Philadelphia County to the late Andrew and Katherine Kelley.

In addition to her parents, Catherine is preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Thompson, her son, Mark Thompson and her brother Robert Kelley.

Catherine Mary Thompson is survived by her sons, Harold Thompson, Jr., David (Patricia) Thompson, Michael (Linda) Thompson, Christopher (Karen) Thompson, her daughter, Kathleen Thompson, and daughter in law, Elaine Thompson. Catherine is also survived by her 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and her brother, Andrew Kelley.

Catherine was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Southport. Having worked in a Catholic Church office in Feasterville, PA for over 20 years before her retirement. Catherine was often a source of spiritual guidance for her children and grandchildren. She loved animals and her experience with dogs was relied on by her family for advice. She was the center of the family. Her kindness, compassion and knowledge will be missed by all who knew her. Rest in peace Mommer, we will find comfort in knowing Pop is once again with his bride.

A funeral mass for Catherine will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Southport, NC.
