Charlie will be remembered for his kind heart, his sense of humor, and the love he shared so freely with those around him. He brought laughter, warmth, and light into the lives of everyone who knew him. He loved peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and he was rarely seen without his signature hat. Charlie also loved the water; whether splashing in the waves at the beach or relaxing by the pool, he found peace and happiness there. Those small joys, so perfectly him, will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia Karavolos, and stepfather, Scott Jost; his sister, Emily Goins, beloved brother in law Tim Goins; a beloved grandmother, Emily Grachow; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who will forever cherish his memory.
A celebration of Charlie’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 22, 2025 in the Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel. The family invites all who knew and loved him to join in honoring his life and the joy he brought to others.
In remembrance of Charlie’s sweet and loving spirit, the family shares these simple words from one of his favorite childhood songs:
“I love you, you love me,
We’re a happy family,
With a great big hug and a kiss from me to you,
Won’t you say you love me too.”
“He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.”Psalm 23:2–3
May he forever be splashing in the sunshine in the waves of the beach or the still waters of the pool he loved so much.
