Chuck was born February 22, 1961 in Corbin, Kentucky, son of Berle Gabbard and Patsy Whitt Fant. He loved his country and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a practical joker with a formidable personality. You either loved him or you hated him and for those that knew him best, you sometimes did both. Chuck had a heart so big, it just “gave out.” He would want everyone to remember all the good times he had, and the smiles he brought to you. He believed in paying it forward through random acts of kindness. He always put family first, and his grandchildren were the light of his life. Chuck will be greatly missed by everyone.
Survivors in addition to his parents are his wife, Patricia Gabbard of Boiling Spring Lakes; daughters, Kimberly Mays Price and husband Christopher of Huntersville, Tamara Gabbard of Southport; Jessica Mays-Lindsay and husband Nathan of Boiling Spring Lakes; six grandchildren, Arie Shuler, Caitlyn Lane, Alyssa Price, Owen Henry, Emrie Lindsay, and Noah Lindsay; and one great grandchild, Cameron Tackett.
A Celebration of Life will be at the home of his daughter, Jessica Mays-Lindsay, 2571 E. Boiling Spring Road, Southport on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 5:00pm until.
