Mrs. Fink, Heather, and Chris,
Was so sad to hear of your loss. It made me think of all the wonderful memories from my childhood. Spending time with Mr. Fink at school, church, on trips to Temple Hills, band trips, and the numerous sleepovers with my best friend Heather. He was always there to talk, listen, or just be supportive. I appreciate all the good memories and love I always felt from the entire Fink family.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I am absolutly thankful for Mr Fink.
Not only because he introduced me (in 7th or 8th grade at the old AMS) to skiing but because that gave me the self confidence that i lacked. He must have been a heck of a dad because he was a heck of a teacher/counselor. Thank you for sharing him.

I was on the Brandywine ski patrol with Dan and always enjoyed his company. He was always willing to help and always brought a positive attitude to any task. As I think of Dan I can't help but thinking about his fabulous Dutch Oven Desserts.

I am sorry for your loss

Dear Family of Mr Fink , I was a student at AMS in the70s. Mr Fink was my favorite go to guy when my world was crumbling down . He took so much time to help me build my world back up . He would pull me out of class just to hear how my day was going .He gave me encouraging words all the time to just get me through one more day . He was my rock. We crossed paths many years later . He wanted to know everything about how my life was going. I showed him pictures of my children and told him of all my success. He was so proud of me and how my life flouirshed . He gave me a side hug and said I always had so much faith in you Woodsy . He remembered my "nick name" and it sounds like you did everything right. His words touched me just as they did many years prior . I thought about him for months after. I know he has a special place in heaven because he had a special place in so many hearts here on earth . I will never forget you Mr Fink... RIP 💜

Dear Charen, Christopher, Heather, John and loved ones,

I was saddened to hear of Dan's passing. He was such a respectable and notable man.

Recently, I was reminiscing about how instrumental Dan was during my run for Austintown Trustee. He stood at the polls for me at Austintown Middle School and I still have the "Boomerang" Letter to the Editor he wrote on my behalf. I owed him a lot for my success.

I just wanted to take a moment to let your family know that I feel blessed to have crossed paths with Mr. Fink during my lifetime and I appreciated everything he did for me.

May God comfort your family during this very difficult time.

Sincerely,

Lisa L. Oles and Matthew Oles, Sr.
(Former Austintown Township Trustee)

Dan and I portrayed Paul and his jailer for week at one of Trinity’s Bible Schools. The kids were so good at stepping into our story as Dan’s Paul shares his faith to his jailer and eventually brings him to faith. We had so much fun and really enjoyed watching the kids learn our story.
