

Daniel was born March 27, 1965. He grew up in King George County, Va and graduated from King George High School. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Virginia Tech and was an insurance underwriter for ITT Hartford for more than 20 years. Most recently he led an agile development team for Liberty Mutual Insurance as a Senior Product Owner III.
Daniel was very passionate about and active in his church, serving in many capacities, but was especially dedicated to the music program. In addition, he was a long-standing member and current President of the East Lincoln Community Chorus.
He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed camping and fishing, and was a big supporter of Boy Scouts of America, serving in many Leadership capacities including Assistant Scoutmaster.
Daniel loved and lived life to the fullest. He cherished his family and everyone who knew him called him their best friend. Children loved “Uncle Dan” and he loved children. Making people laugh and feel good about themselves was important to him. His smile brightened every room, and the light of the Holy Spirit radiated from him. Daniel's kindness and generosity serve as an example for us all.
Survivors include his father, David Malyevac, Sr.; a brother, David Stephen Malyevac, Jr. and wife Cindy; a sister, JoAnn Malyevac Barton and husband David; and four nieces and nephews, David Malyevac, III, Anna Malyevac Thublier, and husband Adrien, Cayden Young, and Peter Young. Daniel was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Ann Wolfe Malyevac; his maternal grandparents, James and Gladys Wolfe; and his paternal grandparents, Steve and Jeannette Malyevac.
A celebration of life will be held at St. Peter by-the-Lake Episcopal Church in Denver, NC on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 2:00 PM. The service will be recorded and can be watched on the church's Facebook or YouTube page immediately following the service.
Memorial donations in his name may be made to St. Peter-by-the-Lake Music Department or East Lincoln Community Chorus.
